On March 16, Gov. Andy Beshear announced that all non-emergency dental procedures should cease until further notice in the effort to “flatten the curve” and beat COVID-19.
At this time, Advanced Endodontics will remain available for all your ACUTE dental needs, and we stand ready to alleviate your endodontic pain/ infection. We are staffed with personnel to take a phone call interview to triage your tooth pain or swelling to determine if an in-person evaluation is needed. If treatment is emergently needed, it will be performed at the time of the evaluation. We will continue to follow the CDC Guidelines for Infection Control in the Dental Health-care Settings, including using a dental dam for all endodontic treatments, slowing the schedule to allow for only one patient in the office at a time, and pre-treatment rinsing with hydrogen peroxide.
We will be taking the temperature of all patients that enter our office. If we determine a patient presents with symptoms of a respiratory infection or is febrile, we will likely postpone any emergency endodontic procedure for at least 14 days, or until the patient tests negative for COVID-19. We will not be treating any patients positive for COVID-19 or patients with active symptoms at this time.
To protect your families and ours, we will continue to closely monitor the COVID-19 situation and follow local, state and federal guidelines. We are taking this day by day and will make updates and changes as needed. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us. Stay safe. Stay healthy.
